The President, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan yesterday Sunday, congratulated the Golden Eaglets for their triumph at the FIFA U-17 World Cup, which took place at the U.A.E.
Jonathan, who hosted the team at the Presidential Villa in Abuja gave each Player two
million Naira each (N2m) while the Head Coach, Manu Garba received the sum of
three million Naira (N3m).
The assistant Coaches, Emmanuel Amuneke, Nduka Ugbade and Emeka Amadi received the sum of two million, five hundred thousand Naira each(N2.5m).
Other members of the teams staff received between three hundred thousand to five hundred thousand Naira each.
He however encouraged them not to relent but work harder to keep up the good and winning spirit.
