The Ex-Niger Delta Militant Group leader, Asari Dokubo as been arrested and detained in Cotonou, the capital of Benin Republic.
The information was passed across by his lawyer, Festus Keyamo.
"He was picked up around Lubeleyi roundabout and taken to an unknown location." Festus said.
He also said there are indications that Asari Dokubo's arrest is a ploy by certain forces in Nigeria in a bid to keep him away as 2015 approaches.
