The FG on Friday ordered the reopening of all shut state and federal universities.

ASUU embarked on the strike to protest the non-fulfilment of the agreement signed by both parties in 2009.

Will ASUU susend strike?
Will the federal government stand by her word?

When two elephants fights, the grass suffers.

Tomorrow Monday 2nd December, 2013, we shall know the stronger party.

BREAKING NEWS - FG SHUT DOWN ASUU STRIKE, REOPENS SCHOOLS

The Federal Government of Nigeria today exercised her powers by putting an end to the 5month old ASUU strike.

The Academic Staff Union of University ASUU was ordered by the FG to resume activities immediately in all federal and state owned schools and any staff who failed to resume will cease to be a staff.

ASUU went on strike because the FG refused to honor the agreement signed by the two parties.

Could this be true?

Could someone please tell me exactly, the destination of this great country, Nigeria?

I heard that due to the death of the former ASUU president, Prof. Iyayi, who died in a motor accident, the fate of Nigerian students will now be decided upon on January 15th, 2014 by ASUU.

I am very sure, the set date is not to finalize but to start a new series of meetings which probably will last for weeks or months because ASUU would not want Prof. Iyayi to die for nothing.

In a nutshell, this ongoing strike by the end of this year will be 6months old.

I strongly believe that calls for a celebration.

ASUU Strike - Members meet on Monday

The striking members of ASUU meets today, Monday 11-11-2013 to discuss either to continue or end the on-going strike action which is almost 5month old.

The executive officers of the union will at the meeting today report to their members, the outcome of their meeting with the president, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

The outcome of the meeting today will further determine the fate of Nigerian students.
