A 100-level student of Benue State University, Jacob Atongo as been sentenced to death by hanging.
Justice Adam Onum of a Makurdi High Court said he was satisfied with the confession of the accused and the exhibits tendered by the prosecution, therefore found him guilty.
Jacob allegedly conspired with two others to rob one Stephen of his Toyota Camry at gun point on June 26,2012.
On July 3, 2013, he also allegedly attacked Judges Quarters, Markurdi and robbed about 15 people.
